Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by our team and transferred to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha. A briefing session with your guide will cover trekking details, equipment checks, and last-minute preparations. Get a restful night’s sleep before your adventure begins.

Accommodation: Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,850m)
Your trek starts with a drive to Londorossi Gate for registration, followed by a short drive to the Lemosho trailhead. The trek begins through a dense rainforest, home to black-and-white colobus monkeys, exotic birds, and lush vegetation. The trail is relatively gentle, leading to Mti Mkubwa Camp, where you will enjoy dinner and rest for the night.

Accommodation: Shira 1 Camp (3,505m)
Today’s hike takes you out of the rainforest and into the moorland zone. The trail ascends gradually, offering stunning views of Kibo Peak and the Shira Plateau. You will trek through grassy landscapes and volcanic formations before reaching Shira 1 Camp, where you will settle in for the night.

Accommodation: Shira 2 Camp (3,840m)
This is a shorter trekking day designed for acclimatization. The hike across the Shira Plateau offers breathtaking panoramic views and a gradual ascent. You will arrive at Shira 2 Camp in the afternoon, with time to explore the surroundings and take an optional acclimatization hike.

Trekking Time: 6–8 hours
Accommodation: Barranco Camp (3,960m)
Today is a key acclimatization day as you ascend to Lava Tower (4,630m) before descending to Barranco Camp. The alpine desert landscape features rugged terrain and sparse vegetation. After lunch at Lava Tower, the descent to Barranco Valley begins, leading to the scenic Barranco Camp, where you will overnight.

Accommodation: Karanga Camp (4,035m)
The trek starts with the Barranco Wall, a steep yet exhilarating climb that requires some scrambling. Once at the top, you will enjoy panoramic views of the mountain. The trail continues with gentle ascents and descents before reaching Karanga Camp, where you will rest and acclimate further.

Accommodation: Barafu Camp (4,673m)
The hike to Barafu Camp is a steady uphill climb through barren, rocky terrain. As the air thins, trekking becomes more challenging. Upon arrival at Barafu, you will have an early dinner and rest before the midnight summit attempt.

Trekking Time: 12–15 hours
Accommodation: Millennium Camp (3,820m)
The summit push begins at midnight, with a challenging ascent to Stella Point (5,756m) and then to Uhuru Peak (5,895m). Reaching the summit at sunrise is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. After celebrating, you will descend to Barafu for a short rest before continuing to Millennium Camp.

Accommodation: Hotel in Moshi/Arusha
The final trek descends through lush rainforest to Mweka Gate, where you will receive your summit certificates. A vehicle will transfer you back to Moshi for a celebratory meal and relaxation.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure or continue with further adventures, such as a safari or a Zanzibar beach holiday.
