Introduction
At Temu Tours, we are committed to delivering outstanding travel experiences. However, we understand that plans can change due to unforeseen circumstances. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which we handle refunds for our services, including safaris, treks, and other guided tours.
By booking with Temu Tours, you agree to the terms outlined below. We encourage you to review these guidelines carefully before confirming your reservation.
Booking and Payment Terms
To secure your booking with Temu Tours, a deposit is required.
Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total tour cost is required to confirm your booking.
Full Payment: The remaining balance is due according to the payment schedule outlined in your booking confirmation, either before or upon arrival.
Cancellations and Refunds
If you need to cancel your booking, please inform us as early as possible. Refunds will be issued based on the timing of your cancellation:
More than 60 days before departure: Full refund, minus the non-refundable deposit.
31–60 days before departure: 50% refund of the total cost.
Within 30 days of departure: No refund available.
Exceptional Circumstances
We recognize that emergencies such as illness, travel restrictions, or natural events may affect your plans. In these situations, we may offer flexible solutions including:
A partial refund
A credit towards a future tour
An option to reschedule your trip
All exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of Temu Tours.
Changes to Your Booking
We aim to accommodate changes to your itinerary wherever possible. Please note:
Changes requested within 30 days of departure may incur additional fees.
All changes are subject to availability and may not be guaranteed.
Refund Process
Approved refunds will be returned to the original method of payment. Depending on your payment provider, it may take several business days for the refund to be processed and reflected in your account.
Non-Refundable Services
Some third-party services are non-refundable once booked. These may include:
National park or conservation area fees
Entry permits or licenses
Accommodation deposits or transport bookings
These fees remain non-refundable in most cases, even in the event of cancellation or trip changes.
Travel Insurance
We strongly advise all clients to purchase comprehensive travel insurance. This helps protect against unexpected events such as cancellations, delays, illness, lost baggage, or emergencies during your trip.
No Shows
Failure to appear for your scheduled trip without prior notice is considered a “no show” and is non-refundable. If you experience an emergency, please contact us as soon as possible to explore potential alternatives.
Force Majeure
In the event of force majeure—including but not limited to natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics, or government-imposed restrictions—Temu Tours reserves the right to cancel or modify your booking. In such cases, we will offer options such as:
Rescheduling your trip
Issuing a travel credit
Offering a partial refund, depending on the specific situation
